It is important to us that your dog enjoys a safe and happy environment.

All dogs must be pre-screened for temperament and good health prior to their first visit.  A temperament test is a series of planned exercises designed to assess your pups behavior and their current level of social development to ensure that they are ready to play with others without posing harm to itself or the other pups.

Temperament tests are complimentary at the CoPAW Cabana and typically take about 20 minutes to complete.  Once your dog passes the test, he is welcome to stay and enjoy a free day of day care or you may schedule day care sessions at the front desk.  Even if you're dog has never socialized with other dogs or attended a dog day care, do not feel discouraged.  Just bring your dog in any way.   The test is free and you might learn something new about your pup!

Remember, not all dogs are meant for day care, so do not feel bad if your pup does not pass the temperament test.  Your dog may just enjoy our at home Pet Sitting Services instead!

Requirements Are:

• Puppies need to be at least 4 months of age
• Dogs over 6 months of age must be spayed or neutered
• General good health
• Current vaccinations (Rabies, Bordetella, and DHLPP)
• Negative fecal test
• Proper collar and I.D. tag (quick release collars only)
• All dogs must be on a leash when entering and exiting the facility
• Regular flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
• No history of biting or aggression towards other dogs or people
• No history of severe protection and aggression over food or toys
• If you would like us to feed your dog, we require your own dogs food and a specific feeding schedule.  There is no extra charge for feedings.
